Rebecca Kohberger

Rebecca Kohberger, MBA with specialization in Finance

Graduated 2019

Hobbies & Interests:
Reading, writing, philanthropy, working out, horseback riding, tennis, history, The Real Housewives, being around friends and family (and my Dog, Romo), and church.

Learning has always been my favorite activity. This stems from my love of reading and my core belief in the importance of both formal and self-education. When you can read, you can learn how to do anything, and I want to do everything!

Through reading, my formal education, and developing my skills in different areas of my life, I have been able to contribute to many charities in relevant ways. This is extremely important to me. Everything that I do in my life is done with the underlying desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

I currently work as a relationship manager for a publicly-traded marketing firm in New York City, while also writing freelance for several online magazines and sitting on the Board of Associates for the Ronald McDonald House of New York.

I aspire to have a career powerful enough to enable me to donate significant financial resources to charities that are close to my heart. Once I do that I want to write a book while staying at home with my children, God willing!

I enjoyed my time at Scranton, and the skills I developed throughout my MBA programs have been an incredible resource in my day-to-day work life.

Octavia Jones

Octavia Jones, MBA with dual specialization in Healthcare and International Business

Graduated 2019

Hobbies & Interests:
In my spare time, I love to salsa dance, hike with my daughter, and travel.

I am currently a provider liaison for a global biopharmaceutical company, and I’ve worked in healthcare sales for the past ten years. With a B.S. in Marketing from Arizona State University and over 20 years of sales and marketing work experience, I chose to earn my MBA from the University of Scranton a few years ago.

As a first-generation college graduate, I value education and strongly believe that we should all strive to be lifelong learners. This year, more than any other, has proven to me that the world is ever-changing and we must grow and change with it. My greatest goal in life is to help lift up the lives of others. As a servant leader, I hope that I can achieve this goal by supporting new champions in creating global health equity.

I am also the parent of an amazing daughter, Isabella, who is currently earning her M.S. in Biology and Society from ASU. I enjoy participating in local community events, traveling the world, spending time with family, and dancing with abandon.
